Two students of Tagoloan Community College (TCC) recently returned to the rightful owner a bag which they found in a drainage canal in Balubal, Cagayan de Oro City last Saturday, November 14. Accordingly, the owner just arrived from Manila and was under preventive quarantine when she lost her bag which contained cash, her passport and other important documents.

The students Myla Catayoc and Charlie Palamos saw the bag at a canal apparently thrown by someone who took it. Inside the bag they saw some documents and contacted the number indicated in an SSS document. Luckily, the number was active and they arranged to meet at Puerto near the flyover as shown below. Since she was still under quarantine, the woman was brought to the site by a rescue vehicle (not known which LGU) and was crying when she got her bag. She however lost her cash and passport.

It was unclear how she lost her bag but she thought someone took it while she dozed off inside the vehicle after a long trip. She said the vehicle was open at that time.
