The Department of Public Works and Highway in Region 10 (DPWH-10) has started work today, November 16, 2020 on the cross drain along the southbound lane of Masterson Avenue near Macanhan Flyover in Cagayan de Oro City which caused yet another heavy traffic for both uptown-bound and downtown-bound motorists.
In its advisory, DPWH-10 stated that the work is part of its Asset Preservation and Preventive Maintenance of Secondary Roads program which will last for ten (10) days.
What’s causing the traffic is that the work required closure of one lane of Masterson Avenu wherein traffic flow for both directions were implemented alternately resulting to heavy traffic during this morning’s rush hour. The long line of vehicles reached as far as Manresa’s north gate.
Last October 30, a similar work on the northbound lane also caused the same heavy traffic. Read our previous post below.
