Construction continues for the P8.55 Billion DPWH Flood Risk Management Project for Cagayan de Oro River which includes a 2.756-kilometer road for evacuation (river boulevard). The whole expanse of the project can be observed with the ongoing civil works.
Funded by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the project comes in three (3) contract packages and also involves construction of the 1.1928 kilometer dike and 3.259 kilometer flood wall, among others. Shown below are the ongoing construction of the floodwall and river dike.
Current construction work stretches from Paseo del Rio in Macasandig towards Consolacion area. Here are more onsite photos (screengrabs) from DMM video.
