The Municipal Government of Plaridel in Misamis Occidental has now allowed the reopening of Bawbawon Island, a rising tourist destination in the province subject to new guidelines that would control and regulate the entry of tourists to the island. Bawbawon has both a public area and a private resort.

Below are the new guidelines whuch began yesterday, September 12, 2020.

  1. Bawbawon Island will be open Monday to Sunday from 6AM-6PM. OVERNIGHT STAY WILL NOT BE ALLOWED.
  2. All visitors shall pass by either of two (2) Tourist Assistance Centers (TAC) to secure clearance in going to the island. NOBODY WILL BE ALLOWED ENTRY without passing by the following TACs:
    • Panalsalan Baybay
    • Looc Fishport
  3. Visitors and tourists will pay corresponding fees.
  4. Instill self-discipline particularly in managing trash in the island.

Tha TACs will be the one to regulate the entry to the island.
