Here’s a virtual tour of the future Main Campus of the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP) System in Alubijid, Misamis Oriental and the 292-hectare Science and Technology Park which straddles the municipalities of Alubijid, Gitagum and Libertad. The Alubijid site was designated as the location of the main campus of USTP by virtue of Republic Act 10919.
The establishment of the Project Management Office (PMO) located in a 4-hectare lot in Lourdes, Alubijid paves the way for the realization of the campus. Future expansions include among others, the 3-Storey Training Facility, 2-Storey Dormitory, Staff House, Parking Area, Power House, Elevated Water Tank, and Stormwater Swale that will be vegetated with flood tolerant, erosion resistant plants.
Meanwhile, the building for the Research and Development Office (RDO) will be the first to be constructed at the main S&T Park site that will also feature a 15-killowatt solar energy system, and a self-sufficient water supply facility. This is part of the first phase of the site development which will also include Classrooms, Dormitory, Administration Offices, Research and Development Center, and the I.C.I.T.E.S building.
The USTP Science and Technology Park is envisioned to become the first ever academe-industry-government collaboration in one location the Academic Campus and Government Centers, Industrial Hub and Commercial Centers.
