Iligan City will go back to Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) as local cases continue to pile up with 45 percent of positive cases now coming from 3rd-degree local transmission exposure. Also, Covid-19 has affected 21 of the city’s 44 barangays.
Accordingly, the Executive Order (EO) is still being drafted by the City Legal and will be sent to the Regional Offices of DILG and DOH for approval. DOH-10 Regional Director Dr Adriano Sumabaan has given the justification of the EO. Once the draft has been approved by the Regional Inter-Agency Task Force, City Mayor Celso Regencia will sign the final EO putting Iligan City back into Enhanced Community Quarantine.
Here’s the summary of confirmed cases in Iligan City as of August 13, 2020.
