A new technopark will rise at the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP) Claveria campus aimed at boosting food production and ensuring food security.
According to USTP Claveria OIC-Chancellor Ruvel Cuasito Sr, the project seeks to build an agriculture and food innovation hub in Claveria, Misamis Oriental – a municipality that is considered as the ‘food basket’ of the province.
USTP has included the Department of Agriculture – Regional Field Office 10 (DA-RFO 10) in the TechnoPark Master Plan and coordinating committee.
This will be USTP’s second technopark in the province following the first one at USTP’s new main campus in Alubijid town.
