Do you miss watching movies in cinemas? Despite being allowed to operate in areas under modified general community quarantine (MGCQ) at 50% seating capacity, none of the cinemas in Cagayan de Oro have yet to reopen. But operators are getting ready to implement strict health protocols if they do so.
Photos below show city officials conducting an inspection at one of the cinemas at SM CDO Downtown Premier where the management has decided to implement a 2-seat gap policy to ensure physical distancing and the 50% seating capacity for its limited operations. Also, wearing of facemasks, temperature checking, hand washing, disinfection, and filling up of contact tracing forms will also be mandatory. Because of the health protocols, only 80 moviegoers will be allowed for its 237-seating capacity cinema. The mall is planning to open just 2 of its 7 cinemas.
