The Misamis Oriental Provincial Hospital (MOPH) in Balingasag will be closed down for 14 days for disinfection after 3 of its staff tested positive of Covid-19. Of the 3, 2 are residents from Balingasag and 1 is from nearby Salay town. Initial info revealed they have exposure with the town’s first local transmission case. Close contacts of the said individuals will also be quarantined. However, no doctors, nurses and other medical/healthcare personnel are affected.

Hospital patients are now transferred to other MisOr provincial hospitals where their continued treatment and isolation are ensured. Meanwhile, contact tracing is still underway. Balingasag now has 3 local cases.
