Looking for a Sunday trekking adventure? Check out Two Trees Peak in Malaybalay City, a popular hiking site located right at the back of the Bukidnon Provincial Capitol.

It’s just a short 1.3-kilometer hiking trek from DPWH Bukidnon office to the top of the ridge. See the map below.

You might wonder why Two Trees where in fact, the site has hundreds of trees. According to locals, it was so-called due to two large pine trees at the ridge distinct from the other trees onsite.

Hiking isn’t really that difficult but you still need strong legs and endurance. Once at the top, you can experience nature and the sea of clouds. Photos courtesy of Sonja Marie.
