Everyone seems to be searching for a new overlooking spot these days. And here’s a new one – SEBU’S HAVEN located in Barangay Rosario in Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental is still a work in progress but you can already visit the place for a refreshing view of the Tagoloan River Valley and Macajalar Bay.
For an entrance fee of P20, you can visit the area which has a wooden view deck like this one below with a commanding view of Tagoloan and Cagayan de Oro perfect for selfies and even photo-ops. It’s also a good place for meditation and relaxation. However, the road to the site is rough and steep and still needs to be developed. The name Sebu is perhaps short for Sebucajon, the name of the sitio.
It also has this smaller view deck like you’re on top of the world. If you’re scared of heights, this is not for you.
If there’s fog, you could be literally on top of the clouds.
Check out some other simple amenities. All it takes is the right angle for the photo to make a difference.
It has several closed cottages for overnight stay but are not yet operational.
A few months ago, there was a heart-shaped decor of artificial sunflowers. Recent heavy rains somehow washed away many of them.

HOW TO GET THERE? See the map below. It is more or less 11.5 kilometers from the National Highway Junction at Sta. Cruz, Tagoloan. Take the Tagoloan-Sta Ana-Malitbog Road and turn left at Brgy. Rosario Junction.
From Rosario Barangay Road, an uphill rough road leads to the site. Vehicles not designed for rough roads are discouraged. Visitors usually leave their vehicles at the end of the concrete road then make an uphill trek to the site. Motorcycles or habal-habal (from Sta. Cruz Junction) can lead direct to the site. By the way, Entrance Fee is P20.
ADVISORY: The almost daily rain has resulted to very muddy trail. Roads are rough and steep so a good weather is the perfect time to visit.
