After hours of waiting, a ton of patience, and some luck, a group of photographers in Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines finally photographed Neowise Comet as it passed across the evening sky tonight, July 23, 2020, the point of the comet’s closest approach to Earth.

The comet which was discovered only last March 27, 2020 and now considered one of the brightest comets in the northern hemisphere, will now move farther away from Earth and will return in about 6,800 years. Well, can you wait that long? Browse some series of shots below courtesy of Raphy Arcaina and Tom Udasco.
