Health officials at the Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC) are looking for the taxi driver who drove a 61-year old locally stranded individual (LSI) who came from Mandaue City in Cebu and arrived in Iligan City last July 6, 2020 and rode the taxi straight to Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental. The said patient has tested positive of Covid-19 and is now admitted at NMMC. The driver is advised to contact and coordinate with BHERTS in his locality.

Below are some information released by the Municipal Health Officer:

  • 61 years old, male, LSI, APOR
  • Works in a Maritime Service Provider based in Mandaue, Cebu
  • Arrived at Iligan City last July 6, 2020
  • Experienced 3 days fever and unproductive cough
  • Known asthmatic
  • Went directly to CDO via taxi, then to a private hospital at Tagoloan via Multicab, this July 9, 2020
  • At OPD noted SOB and desaturations, thus referred to NMMC and admitted
  • Swab tested on the same day, Positive result came out today
  • Presently, patient is in stable condition at NMMC
  • Contact tracing being done
  • All close contacts being identified
