Some 300 locally stranded individuals (LSIs) arrived in Cagayan de Oro City today, July 7, 2020 after a grueling land trip from Metro Manila made possible through the governent’s ‘Hatid Tulong Initiative’. They were immediately brought to the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP) holding area where they await to be fetched by their respective LGUs for proper quarantine measures back in their hometowns.
The LSIs also received cash assistance from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), free meals and food packs. Browse photos below.
