A total of 250 new recruits of the Philippine National Police composed of 213 men and 37 women took their oath as new members of the PNP with the rank of Patrolman/Patrolwoman in temporary status during the oath taking ceremony held yesterday, July 1, 2020 at the Parade Ground of Camp Alagar in Lapasan, Cagayan de Oro City.

They will receive a basic salary of Php 29,688.00 each, aside from allowances and other non-cash benefits, similar to the regular police officer holding the same rank. They will be turned-over to the Regional Training Center 10 for the Public Safety Basic Recruit Course.

The trainees will undergo academic training, Internal Security Operations and defense tactics for six months. Upon completing their 6-month training in Public Safety Basic Recruit Course, they will further undergo 6-month Field Training Program in the different provincial/city police offices in PRO 10 as part of their community immersion which will qualify them for permanency.
