Portion of Upper 20th Street in Nazareth, Cagayan de Oro City is now under focused containment after a Returning OFW tested positive of Covid-19 as the city records four confirmed cases including 2 uniformed personnel considered as authorized person outside residence (APOR).
In today’s press briefing, the 47-year old male ROF from Nazareth arrived in Cagayan de Oro City last June 10 and was immediately placed at the City Isolation Unit (CIU). On June 24, he was swabbed and was released after completing the 14-day quarantine and his result came out yesterday, June 28 or after his release. He was taken to the CIU’s Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility (TTMF) just this morning, June 29. He is said to be asymptomatic and was tagged as the city’s 31st case. Portion of Upper 20th street is now under lockdown.
Meanwhile, another locally stranded individual (LSI) from Brgy. Puerto also tested positive. Info gathered the 19-year old female came from Pasay City and arrived in the city last June 16 and was immediately placed at the CIU. She previously worked at a mall in Makati City. She is asymptomatic and was tagged as the city’s 30th case.
The 2 uniformed personnel who tested positive include a member of the Philippine National Police (PNP) who arrived in the city from Cebu last June 16 and a member of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) who was just re-assigned here and arrived from Manila last June 18. Both cases were re-tagged to Cebu and Manila, respectively.
