A 34-year old female LSI resident of Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental who arrived from Manila last June 24, 2020 via sea travel, became the province’s 7th confirmed Covid-19 case. Accordingly, she tested positive through rapid testing and was brought straight to Tagoloan Isolation Unit where her swab test was taken. Positive result came out today. She is asymptomatic and closely monitored by the Municipal Health Office.

  • 1st covid case as of June 28, 2020
  • 34 years old, female, a Locally Stranded Individual (LSI) from Marikina City, Metro Manila
  • Upon arrival last June 24, 2020 via 2GO St. Paul Vessel, RDT/RAT done with (+) result
  • Brought directly to MIU (Municipal Isolation Unit); No Community Exposure
  • Swabbed on June 24 (same date of arrival); results came out Positive today (June 28, 2020)
  • Presently Asymptomatic


  • On close monitoring at MIU
  • There are 9 close contacts individuals during transport from Seaport; 2 with RDT/RAT (+) but with negative PCR results; 3 out of 7 with RDT/RAT (-) are at Barangay Quarantine Area; the rest of the 4 to be transferred to MIU for close monitoring
  • Close Coordination with DOH for Contact Tracing of co-passengers


  • We need to be calm since the positive case has no community exposure
  • We must continuously follow our minimum health standards:
  • social distancing
  • frequent hand washing with soap and water and/or alcohol
  • wearing of mask especially when going out
