Filing of hazing and murder charges were approved against several Philippine Military Academy (PMA) cadets, its former hospital chief and two doctors over the death of Cadet 4th Class Darwin Dormitorio last year.
Charged for hazing and murder were cadets Shalimar Imperial, Jr. and Felix Lumbag, Jr.. A third cadet, Julius Carlo Tadena, will face charges for hazing and “less serious physical injuries,” according to a resolution released by the Baguio City Prosecutor’s Office last June 24. Another cadet Christian Zacarias will face charges for “slight physical injuries”.
Meanwhile, murder charges will be filed against former PMA Station Hospital chief Lt. Col. Ceasar Candelaria and medical officers Capt. Flor Apple Apostol and Maj. Maria Ofelia Beloy. Details below.
