After being stranded for 96 days, student John Samuel Yap is finally back in Cagayan de Oro. Although he knew that he would be quarantined in an isolation unit for days, he had no expectations on what’s going to happen upon arrival at Laguindingan Airport.

Yap, who in 2015 was among the Kabayan Ten Outstanding Public School Students (TOPS) of the Philippines as a student of  Gusa Regional Science High School, took to Facebook his commendation to the city government for the efficient process and systematic handling of locally stranded individuals (LSI). He also took some snapshots of the quarantine facility where they are provided free food, accommodation, toiletries, and vitamins for 14 days.
