The three new confirmed cases in Cagayan de Oro yesterday, June 18, 2020 involved two returning Overseas Filipino Workers (ROF) and one Locally Stranded Individual (LSI) who all tested positive by the Department of Health R-10 TB Reference Center in Carmen. All 3 have not been reintegrated yet into their respective homes and are still at the City Isolation Unit since their arrival. This was disclosed by City Epidemiologist Dr. Joselito Retuya in today’s press briefing.
Accordingly, contact tracing is now underway of the 2 returning OFWs who arrived in CDO by plane and for the lone LSI who embarked at CDO Port. City health officials are expecting to obtain the passenger manifest of the flights and vessel trip within the day.
The three new cases brought the total confirmed cases in the city to 24 as of 10:00pm of June 18, 2020.
