Two suspects were arrested and P1.36 million worth of illegal drugs believed to be shabu were seized in a drug buy bust operation at around 6:00pm of June 6, 2020 along Limketkai Drive, Barangay 35 in Cagayan de Oro City.
In a press release, the suspects were identified as Salvimar L. Delana aka “Bem-Bem”, 30 years old, jobless, with live-in partner, a beneficiary of the government’s Social Amelioration Program (SAP), and residing at Block 33 Lot 21 Relocation Site at Calaanan, Canitoan; and Enrico V. Verona aka “Tasyo”, 33, graphic artist, with live-in partner and residing at Zayas Landfill in Carmen.
Accordingly, the successful operation was conducted by elements of Cagayan de Oro City Police Office (COCPO) Station 3 led by PCpt. Julius Saluta, COCPO PS3 OIC.
The transaction was consummated when suspects “Bem-Bem” and “Tasyo” sold 1 piece transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu with estimated weight MOL 0.30g worth Php 2000 to a poseur buyer.
Recovered from their possession were as follows:
- one (1) pc small black pouch containing six (6) pcs heat-sealed plastic transparent sachets containing white crystalline substance believe to be shabu weighing MOL 200g with street value worth Php 1,360,000.00
- one (1) unit white touch screen OPPO cellular phone
- one (1) pc yellow/gray pack bag
- two (2) pcs Php 1000.00 bills with serial nos. NF749014 & SV266843 used as marked money
Inventory of items was done in the presence of the accused, a barangay kagawad and a radio reporter representing media.
