Two of the three fugitives who escaped from Gingoog City Jail last week are now back in government hands after one surrendered while another was recaptured by Gingoog City Police led by Chief of Police Lt.Col. Ariel Philip Pontillas and personnel from the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP).
First to surrender was Danilo Abao Bestes, 32 years old who is facing charges of qualified theft. According to PLt.Col. Pontillas, he received surrender feelers through the fugitive’s brother. Photos below show Bestes (in green shirt) during his surrender.
Bestes’ family then received several food packs courtesy of the city government.
Recaptured was Joseph Lantecsi Temblor, 45 who is facing murder charges.
Right after his capture, he was treated to a Jollibee lunch by police.
The two fugitives are shown during their presentation to City Mayor Erick Canosa.
Police are now calling for the 3rd suspect to surrender. Read previous post below.
