The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB-10) has summoned the operator and driver of a Bugo liner after photos of the said PUJ was posted in social media where it was accused of violating social distancing.
Acting on the said complaint, LTFRB RFRO-10 Regional Director Allan Guro issued a Show Cause Order to Mrs. Janice Faborada, operator of the PUJ, and the driver, identified as John Paul Neri, for violation of MC-2020-005A.
The respondents appeared at LTFRB-10 office and insisted that there were only six (6) passengers on each side and reasoned the angling of the photo posted over social media to have shown an impression that it was full. A reenacted photo ops supported the claim of the respondents.
Below are photos during the reenactment showing 6 passengers on one side.
Below are the photos posted in Facebook.
However, the respondents will still have to reply to the Show Cause Order issued before LTFRB-10 will decide on the matter.
