Ten (10) rolling stores have been deployed in various barangays in Iligan City selling fresh farm produce and dry goods amid the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) due to the COVID-19 crisis.
Buyers are required to provide their own ecobags, wear masks and maintain social distancing. Only one member of each household will be allowed to buy from the rolling store, and after purchase, the buyer must immediately go back inside the house.
Products are sold according to the suggested retail prices provided by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and the Department of Agriculture (DA).
Here’s the week-long schedule of rolling stores below.
The Rolling Stores project is an initiative of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Foundation of Iligan Inc., together with the Local Government of Iligan, Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of Interior and Local Governance (DILG), Department of Health (DOH), Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), City Agriculture’s Office (CAG), Philippine National Police (PNP) and Liga ng mga Barangay.
It is aimed at addressing the limited access of people to the market or groceries to buy their needed food supplies and other necessities, amid the implementation of the city under ECQ.
