The region’s 6th confirmed COVID-19 case involved a 33-year-old female from Mahinog, Camiguin. Based on the press statement by the Center for Health Development of the Department of Health Regional Office. No 10, she is now under strict home quarantine.
Further info states that she traveled to Manila last March 8, 2020. Immediately after her arrival, she was placed under a mandatory 14-day home quarantine. However, on March 17, 2020, the patient experienced mild symptoms of colds and sore throat so she had a swab test taken with her specimen sent to reference laboratory for testing. The patient also has a pre-existing case of asthma.
While under strict home quarantine, the patient is being closely monitored by the Provincial Health Office and Rural Health Unit personnel.
