Cagayan de Oro City Mayor Oscar Moreno is NOT about to declare an enhanced community quarantine in the city just yet amid the rise in confirmed cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the region to five (5) including the first COVID-19 positive person in the city. He said this during Wednesday’s press conference at City Hall.
Meanwhile, local health officials state that the first confirmed case in the city involved a 71-year old male living in one of the numbered barangays in the city with a travel history to Manila and arrived in the city last March 12. Accordingly, he is asymptomatic meaning he has no symptoms. He was previously admitted at Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC) after arriving from Manila and then was discharged pending his test result. He was near the end of his 14-day self quarantine at home when the results arrived indicating he tested positive of COVID-19 so he is now re-admitted at NMMC. Read details in the link below.
