Following the first COVID-19-related death in the region last Friday, March 13, a lot of concerned netizens asked how health authorities will manage and dispose the remains. According to Department of Health’s (DOH) Department Memorandum No. 2020-0067, the remains will be sealed in an airtight, leak-proof cadaver bag and will either be safely cremated OR buried in accordance to DOH/WHO protocol.
