A team from Oro Rescue 911 successfully rescued a person who attempted suicide at a house beside Cagayan de Oro National High School in Nazareth yesterday, February 20.
As posted in their official Facebook page, it was learned that the unnamed individual attempted suicide by hanging at the living room of the house. When the rescue team arrived just before noon, the patient was already removed from the dog leash used in the hanging, had no pulse and was not breathing anymore so they initiated cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and continued while they were enroute to the hospital. Fortunately, a weak pulse was felt until it stabilized just before they arrived at JR Borja General Hospital. The patient is now at the Emergency Room of said hospital for further medical intervention.
