More than 600 kilograms of pork meat from Davao City were intercepted by the City’s Anti-African Swine Fever Task Force at the checkpoint at Upper Puerto, Cagayan de Oro City Thursday morning, February 20.

Accordingly, the transport had no shipping permit and certificate from the National Meat Inspection Services (NMIS). It also violated Executive Order No. 172 which prohibits entry of pork meat from the Davao Region.
