It’s still a long way to go before the roadworks at the Kauswagan approach of the Puntod-Kauswagan Bridge will be completed. The project is part of the Flood Risk Management Project under the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Loan Agreement.
As observed, the project aims to raise the level of the bridge approach so it will not be inundated by rising flood waters of Cagayan de Oro River. As shown below, the project is still halfway up on the eastbound lane.
The project costs P371 million and is contracted to AM Oreta & Co., Inc. and IPM Construction & Devt. Corp. as a joint venture. As indicated, the project will be completed in December 2020.
