PROJECT ORO, a multi-hazard mobile application designed by students from Xavier University – Ateneo de Cagayan won second place during the 8th Top Leaders Forum Young of the National Resiliency Council held last November 12, 2019 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.

The app aims to bridge the information gap between the government and the people by providing regular updates on the progression of hazards, locations of evacuation areas, and valuable information on evacuees for better disaster response.

The said competition highlights the importance of youth involvement in promoting disaster resilience in the Philippines through innovative solutions to the challenges of resilience.
