If you love the outdoors, then GOLDA’S PLACE located in Sitio Pigsuguan, Barangay Kalingking in Malitbog, Bukidnon should be in your bucket list.

Situated on a mountain top, Golda’s Place is a perfect spot for you to escape the city, a change in scenery and simply relax by tent camping to hammock camping. And you could enjoy watching the sunset as well as stargazing, a stress reliever courtesy of nature. These photos below should inspire you.

GETTING THERE

Malitbog is a 90-minute drive from Cagayan de Oro City. Meanwhile, GOLDA’S PLACE is just approximately 6.4 kilometers from the Municipal Hall of Malitbog or a short 15-minute drive. Following the well-paved Misamis Oriental-Bukidnon-Agusan del Sur Road and some 2.4 kilometers from the Poblacion is Kalingking Bridge. Just ahead is a junction leading to Golda’s Place. From the junction, it will be a 4-kilometer rough road which leads to the site. Public commuting is also available. Just ride PUJs bound for Poblacion, Malitbog. From Poblacion, ride habal-habal to Golda’s Place. See map below. (Click to enlarge)

And the view is just fantastic. You’ll get to see the Balatukan Mountain Range on the north and the Kitanglad Mountain Ranges on the south. Having these natural wonders is just perfect for your Instagram account. The site also overlooks Cagayan de Oro City and the towns of Tagoloan in Misamis Oriental and Manolo Fortich, Libona and Sumilao on Bukidnon. You should bring binoculars. By the way, entrance is FREE.

It’s cold at night at Golda’s Place but a campfire should provide some heat.
