The City Government of Cagayan de Oro is eyeing the establishment of two new major public transport terminals in Lumbia for southbound PUJs and at Puerto for eastbound PUJs. This will restrict the entry of provincial PUJs into the city and further decongest traffic in the city’s major streets.

This was revealed by Engr. Nonito Oclarit of the Roads and Traffic Administration (RTA) during a recent meeting with the City Council Committee on Public Utilities chaired by Councilor Teodulfo “Bong” Lao. Also present were LTFRB-10 Regional Director Aminoden D. Guro and other members of the said committee.

The Westbound Terminal in Bulua is operating as intended while accordingly, the Agora Bus Terminal will solely utilized for bus operations.

Presently, eastbound PUJs are operating terminals around Agora Market City while the terminal for southbound PUJs are at Carmen Market.
