Planning for next year’s adventure? Try out Kipilas Falls near the boundary of Kitaotao, Bukidnon and Marilog District in Davao City. The 100-foot tall grandeur is a sacred place among the indigenous people in the area which is part of the ancestral domain of the Matigsalug tribe.

Check out these photos of its raging waters cascading down the cliff courtesy of Ju Hon Nah. Interestingly, a large rock at the bottom is just a perfect spot for those who really wanted that much closer look at the falls.

How to get there? Just get off at Buda Proper near Buda National High School along Bukidnon-Davao Highway. Ride a skylab to the jump-off point to Kipilas Falls. Many have already visited the hidden falls so you’ll get plenty of guides and directions. Be ready for a long hike.
