Remember ORO CENTRAL? The proposed multi-purpose building which won Cagayan de Oro City the Liveable Cities Design Challenge for the Government Evacuation Center Category way back in 2014 will finally soon become a reality. This after the City Government included it in its P2.31 billion allocation for infrastructure and investment projects next year.

This was confirmed in City Hall’s daily News Bulletin. See highlighted portion below. The City is embarking on a P7.5 billion budget for next year.

Oro Central, which will rise at City Central School is designed to accommodate 200 classrooms and also doubles as an evacuation center during calamities. Also in the vicinity is the new City Library now under construction.
