Jill Santos-Cua, founder and CEO of JSC & Co., CPAs, (JSC) has a very inspiring story to tell. In 2009, she started with one-staff in a sixteen-square-meter office. She worked fervently, barely sleeping four hours each day for she was not just trying to grow her firm, she was also taking an enormous role as the President-Elect of PICPA Cagayan de Oro-Misamis Oriental Chapter at daytime and taking up Masters Degree in Business Administration at nighttime.
In 2012, she expanded her firm to Davao then to Cebu and Makati Cities every year thereafter.
In 2017, she took the bold move on internationalization, thereby, making JSC a multi-disciplinary firm. To date, JSC is the Philippine member firm of three (3) international organizations namely: DFK International, IR Global, and IC & Partners.
The unwavering dedication of Jill Santos-Cua to PICPA started in 2007 when she was elected Chapter Secretary. She held various chapter positions until she became the Chapter President in 2010, Regional Sectoral Representative (RSR) for Public Practice in 2017, and National Committee Chairperson for Women Member Empowerment in 2019.
Through her leadership in 2010, Cagayan de Oro-Misamis Oriental Chapter was awarded by PICPA as National Outstanding Chapter. PICPA accorded her this year’s prestigious National Outstanding CPA in Public Practice for her outstanding performance that has made a remarkable impact on the public practice sector; for raising her firm from a humble provincial one-staff firm into a globally-recognized accounting firm; for the numerous awards she received here and abroad; for her noteworthy contributions to the prestige and advancement of the accounting profession in the country through her numerous international exposures, training, speaking engagements; and for her continuous active participation in various capacities in the projects of PICPA. By far, Jill Santos-Cua has accumulated three national awards from PICPA. She was awarded National Young Achiever and National Outstanding Member in 2009 and 2016, respectively.
