Fifteen (15) new modern public utility vehicles (PUV) will be launched tomorrow, December 10, to ply the Bugo-Opol via Seven Seas route. Operated by Oro Transport Service Cooperative (OROTSCO), these units will be the pioneering fleet to ply the streets in Cagayan de Oro.
In an interview over at a local radio station, Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB-10) Regional Director Aminoden “Allan” Guro was quoted as saying that as part of its promotion, OROTSCO MIGHT be giving commuters a FREE ride on its first day of operation which will be announced soon.
The modern PUV units can be seen at Hino Motors Showroom along Bulua Highway. Commuters can start riding the modern PUVs a few days later at a date to be announced.
It was earlier reported that the route will be from Puerto but latest info gathered it will start from Bugo. See the route maps below. (NOTE: Map only starts from Puerto) – travel distances will change.
