Christine Organiza-Hallasgo from Malaybalay City, Bukidnon has just won the gold in women’s marathon in the ongoing Southeast Asian Games beating compatriot and defending champion Mary Joy Tabal who settled for the silver.

Hallasgo clocked 2 hours, 56 minutes and 56 seconds in her SEA Games debut while Tabal finished with 2 hours, 58 minutes and 49 seconds. Vietnam’s Pham Thi Hong Le grabbed the bronze with a time of 3 hours, 2 minutes and 52 seconds.
