Almost every Filipino knows FIGHTER WINE, the medicinal wine more often called “tambal sa kabuhi.” But do you know how it is made? Kyle ‘Kulas’ Jennermann of BecomingFilipino fame recently visited the factory of the so-called medicinal wine which is very popular in most remote villages he has been.

Fighter Wine is a legacy of Uy Masuy Wine Factory Inc., the company founded in Cebu in 1912. It is primarily manufactured from herbal extracts and high-grade quadruple ethyl alcohol combined and aged to achieve the desired taste and consistency.
