Two major flyover projects in Cagayan de Oro are being planned to further decongest traffic in the city. These are the 4.5-kilometer Lapasan-Gusa Flyover and the 2.1-kilometer Bulua Flyover totaling P16.67 billion.
This was revealed by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH-10) during yesterday’s joint meeting between the City Development Council (CDC) and City Peace, Development and Security Council (CPDSC) chaired by City Mayor Oscar Moreno.
Based on the plan, the P11.42 billion Lapasan-Gusa Flyover will start at Corrales Avenue and end at Bigaan Bridge for a total length of 4.5 kilometers. Motorists using the flyover will bypass major junctions from Corrales, Osmena, Limketkai, Agora and Coastal Road. See map below.
Meanwhile, the P5.25 billion 2.1-km Bulua Flyover will start at Westbound Terminal Junction and end at Iponan Bridge. See map below.
