Cagayan de Oro City is considered as the education center in Northern Mindanao and if you’re planning to be a doctor, the city has two medical schools – Xavier University’s Dr. Jose P. Rizal School of Medicine and Liceo de Cagayan University College of Medicine.
It’s a given that medicine entails huge financing for the medical tuition and other fees. Based on data gathered from NMAT Online, the two schools in Cagayan de Oro have the following tuition fees on a per semester basis for academic year 2019-2020.
Still, these are much cheaper compared to University of the East’s Php 163,883 (by installment), Far Eastern University’s Php 161,360 (by installment) and De La Salle University’s Php 159,345 (Php 318,690/year). Cebu Doctors University costs Php 116,535.
XU was the first medical school in the city established in 1983 while Liceo became the second just in 2017. See below.
