Corpus Christi School and Xavier University-Ateneo de Cagayan ruled the recently concluded Manny V. Pangilinan Sports Foundation Youth Basketball League with the finals held Sunday, October 6 at the Corpus Christi Gym in Brgy. Macasandig.
The Knights won the title in both the 12-under and 18-under age categories while XU won the 15-under title. Corpus Christi School beat Sacred Heart of Jesus Montessori School in overtime, 116-107 for the 18-under gold medal. Their 12-under team was also victorious over Xavier University, 86-39. But Xavier University beat Corpus Christi, 81-70 for the gold in the 15-under category.

Named MVPs in their age categories were John Ramos of Xavier University for 18-under, Laurence Roda of Sacred Heart of Jesus Montessori School for 15-under and Auri Guayan of Xavier University for 12-under category.

Named to the 12-under Mythical Five selection were Auri Guayan (XU), Alberto Labandero Jr (Sacred Heart), Charles Olango (Corpus Christi), Krowsy Tagocon (Sacred Heart), and Jhude Borbe (XU).

The 15-under Mythical Five are Laurence Roda (Sacred Heart), Angelo Roxas (Spearheads), Jhokins Lanzadares (Sacred Heart), Charles Harvey Quipa (Spearheads) and Hanz Nicole Pestano (Corpus Christi).

The 18-under Mythical Five are John Ramos (XU), Jember Bacadon (St Joseph Academy), Jadaimer Cabanez (SPC), Jean Pierre Gaston (Corpus Christi) and Kyle Laguitao (STI).

Named Top Defensive Players were John Carl Cabuga of STI for 18-Under, Angelo Roxas of Spearheads for 15-under and Alberto Labandero Jr of Sacred Heart for 12-Under.
