If you’ve been to Ilocos Norte, Refmad Farms, a 13-hectare dragon fruit farm located in the town of Burgos, just north of Laoag, is one of the most visited popular ecotourism sites and included In several tour packages being offered in the province. The said farm is one of the first and largest dragon fruit farms in the country.

Now, a similar farm in Gingoog City probably following the success of Refmad will soon be open to the public. By the way, the dragon fruit comes from a specific specie of cactus and is prevalent in Southeast Asia. Studies reveal the fruit contains multiple antioxidants and is rich in vitamins and minerals that are beneficial for good health (Read more HERE).
