Motorists and travelers along Route 955 or the Gingoog-Claveria-Villanueva Road (GCVR) now have a new spot for a brief stopover after a long ride with the newly installed boundary landmark near Sitio Civoleg, Barangay Lunotan in Gingoog City.
The spot was put up by the Misamis Oriental 1st District Engineering Office (MOFDEO) under its Gender and Development (GAD) Program and has gender responsive comfort rooms for both male and female, a gazebo to provide shade, an aesthetic landscape, and a parking space.
Accordingly, the project is anchored on the GAD Program incorporating the integral dimensions of the design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of policies, programs and projects in all social, political, civil, and economic spheres so that women and men benefit equally.
The blessing and inauguration was held last September 4, 2019 graced by DPWH Regional Director Zenaida T. Tan, District Engineer Marivel Frances L. Ong, and other Regional and District officials, staff and personnel.
