A manhunt is now in progress for the suspect who kidnapped a newborn baby at the Puericulture Center in Barangay 16 in Gingoog City on Sunday morning, September 1, 2019. Police in Gingoog City has also released the cartographic sketch of the female suspect.
The unidentified suspect is female, 57-65 years old, 5’2, weighing around 55-60 kgs, dark complexion and last seen wearing a black jacket and pink short pants.
A CCTV footage also showed the suspect wearing a medical mask.
Initial investigation conducted by police revealed the mother of the child identified as Marichu Tolorio Villegas delivered the baby last August 30 at about 8:30pm and accompanied by her mother. She was surprised that her baby was missing when she woke up today.
Meanwhile, Gingoog City Mayor Erick Cañosa and Vice Mayor Peter Unabia are offering cash reward for any leads to the suspect.
