CHRISTIAN ARROYO of Cagayan de Oro City recently won the title in the just concluded Mind Games International Rapid Chess Championship at the League One South Gate Mall in Makati City held last Sunday, August 11. 

Actually, Arroyo finished with 6.0 points and tied for first-fourth places with three others but emerged with the highest tiebreak points and awarded the top prize trophy and P10,000 cash. The Seven Round Swiss System, 20 minutes plus five seconds delay time control event was organized by Mind Games International and sanctioned by the National Chess Federation of the Philippines.  Read source below.
