The world’s largest factory for tennis balls will be relocating soon from China to Phividec Industrial Estate in Misamis Oriental, Philippines. This was explained by Gerald Skrobanek, Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer of Head International Holding, the world’s leader in tennis ball production.

In his Facebook post, Agriculture Undersecretary for Finance and Administration Roldan G. Gorgonio stated that in a meeting with Phividec Administrator and Chief Executive Officer Franklin Quijano, Skrobanek said the proposal is inclusive of a planned expansion of production capacity and also processing of raw-rubber to rubber balls. This would greatly revive the rubber industry in the country which has been in the doldrums for a long time.

It can be recalled that late last year, Head signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with a 25-year lease agreement for a 5-hectare site at Phividec Industrial Estate in Tagoloan. Read related articles below.
