Be careful what you eat, drink or even smoke. This after agents of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) in Northern Mindanao raided an old wood processing plant inside Phividec Industrial Estate in Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental last Thursday, July 25 and discovered counterfeit products of some popular consumer brands.

According to Sunstar CDO, materials and machines used in candy production, boxes of fake cigarettes, some taxable products, and other documents were found during the search which was aided by two search warrants. Check out photos of the site courtesy of Tagoloan Shines.

Huang Teng Pee, a Taiwanese and owner of Timberwoods Development Corporation claimed that he had rented out the buildings to a Chinese national and he had no idea about the activities of the lessee. He may face charges of violation of Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines (RA 8293).
