Netizens in Cagayan de Oro are calling for police visibility particularly at night in areas where many students converge waiting for jeepneys. This after a netizen witnessed a student being punched in the face after he refused to give money from alleged ‘rugby boys’ near JR Borja-Corrales Junction.

According to netizen Maureen Cayetuna, it was the 3rd time she witnessed such incident involving students being victimized by rugby boys at the said spot. The first student victim lost a cellphone. The second lost a wallet but fortunately got it back after a guard helped. JR Borja – Corrales Junction is a known jeepney stop where commuters including students wait for west-bound jeepney routes.
