Around 70 people who participated in an anti-government rally last Monday at the Provincial Capitol grounds in Malaybalay City, Bukidnon were dismayed after they were left without food and bus fare by organizers. Fortunately, soldiers assigned at the site shared their snacks with the rallyists.

According to Kalinaw News, the rallyists were promised free breakfast, lunch and bus fare back to their homes. Some didn’t even know they will be attending a rally during President Rodrigo Duterte’s State of the Nation Address (SONA). When they arrived at the Capitol grounds, soldiers stationed onsite gave them some morning snacks of what was to be the rallyists’ only meal for the day. At around 3:00pm, the organizers reportedly left as rains started to pour and the villagers were abandoned without the promised meals and fare. Here are photos courtesy of 403rd Infantry Brigade PA.
